Education

American education is lagging (#30 in the world) despite the highest per capita spending (per student). We need to implement choice and competition wherever possible in the education industry. The voucher system should be broadly implemented challenging teachers and principals to produce. Large public universities have endowments larger than medium-sized, state budgets, yet tuition has increased at 3-4 times the rate of inflation. Americans should not have to go into debt on student loans to earn better opportunities. Apprenticeship programs and trade schools should be made available to accommodate these jobs that are in high demand.
