Florida’s 22nd congressional district is located in southeast Florida. Based in South Florida, the district encompasses the coastline from central Broward County to southern Palm Beach County and inland north and northwestern Broward County and the New River communities west of Ft. Lauderdale.

In December 2015, Florida courts ordered the redistricting of several U.S. House Districts including the 21st and the 22nd. The result was a 22nd district which is now mostly contained in Broward County and Boca Raton and Deerfield Beach in southern Palm Beach County.

The district includes all of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Lazy Lake, Lighthouse Point, Sea Ranch Lakes, Wilton Manors, Hillsboro Beach, Coral Springs, Parkland, Margate, Coconut Creek and Oakland Park, as well as portions of Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach. Also included are the unincorporated Broward County communities of Broadview Park, Fair Gate, Lakeview, Margate Estates, Palm Aire, Tedder, Twin Lakes, and West Dixie Bend.

In Palm Beach County, this congressional district includes all of Highland Beach and Deerfield Beach and most of Boca Raton. Also included are the unincorporated Palm Beach County communities of Arlington Park, Boca del Mar, Boca Pointe, Barwal, College Park and Fairlawn.

Boundaries of the District from northwestern corner of Broward County at the Hillsboro Canal, south along the western county border, then east along the Cypress Creek Canal (mostly) except where it includes the unincorporated communities of Fair Gate, Margate Estates and Palm Airel; then north along Blount Rd/NW 31st Ave to W Copans Rd; zigzagging north at N Cypress Rd and east along Sample Rd and south along S Dixie Hwy W. and west to W McNab Rd and I-95; and south along I-95 containing the unincorporated communities of Twin Lakes and Royal Palm Isles; then east to Wilton Manors, and another zigzag course through central Ft Lauderdale till Port Everglades to the South, most of the New River area and heading west of I-95 including the unincorporated communities of Riverland and Broadview Park. The furthest boundary south in I-595 and SE 24th St, just south of Port Everglades. To the northern side of the district, the western boundary is the Florida Turnpike; zigzagging from the Florida Turnpike to Jog Road along Clint Moore Rd until the L-38 and C-15 canals then North again to the northern limit of Highland Beach.
